Shipping Information

  1. Delivery Options 

Nationwide Courier Delivery

  • We deliver across South Africa using trusted third-party couriers.
  • Delivery charges apply.

In-Store Collection (Equestria, Pretoria)

  • Customers may collect orders from our Pretoria branch at no cost.
  • Collections are only permitted once we notify you that your order is ready.
  1. Delivery Time Estimates

Gauteng Deliveries

  • Expected delivery: 2–3 working days

Other Provinces

  • Expected delivery: up to 5 working days

Important: Once a parcel is handed over to the courier, any delays in transit are outside MakingCandles’ control.

  1. Collection Guidelines

When Can I Collect?

  • A collection confirmation message or e-mail must be received before arriving or sending your courier.
  • Please allow 2–3 business days for order preparation.

Operating Hours for Collections

  • Mon–Fri: 8:00 – 12:00

Using Your Own Courier

  • You may send your own courier once your order is ready.
  • Once the parcel leaves our premises, all risk passes to the customer.
  • MakingCandles is not responsible for transit delays or damage caused by third-party couriers selected by the customer.
  1. Courier Information & Fees

Weight-Based Surcharges

  • Orders over 20kg (national) or 25kg (local) do require additional courier fees.
  • These fees will be invoiced separately and must be settled before dispatch.

Courier Partner

  • Our current delivery partner is The Courier Guy, and all deliveries follow their terms and conditions.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Ensure your delivery address is suitable for door-to-door service.
  • Ensure someone is available to receive the parcel.
  • MakingCandles cannot be held liable for failed delivery attempts or parcels accepted by someone else on your behalf.

Packaging

  • We package all orders according to industry-recommended safety practices.
  • We do not accept special packaging requests or alterations.
  1. Changing Your Delivery Address
  • Customers are responsible for entering the correct delivery details when placing an order.
  • Once an order has been processed or shipped, no address changes can be made.
  • If an incorrect address is supplied, any additional courier costs will be for the customer’s account.
  • If you contact us immediately after placing your order, we may be able to update your address only if the order has not yet been dispatched.
