How to Use Candle Mousse Dye:
-
Prepare the Wax: Begin by melting your candle wax.
-
Add Dye: Once the wax is fully melted, add Candle Mouse Dye. You can use different colors of Candle Mouse Dye to create custom shades. A general guideline is to use about 0.5% to 1% of dye based on the total weight of your wax. Start with a small amount, and add more as needed to achieve the desired color intensity.
-
Optimal Temperature for Dye Addition: Add the dye to the melted wax when the temperature is between 170°F and 180°F (77°C – 82°C). This temperature ensures that the dye fully dissolves and blends evenly into the wax without compromising the color or the wax’s integrity.
-
Mix Thoroughly: Stir the wax thoroughly to ensure the dye is evenly distributed. Make sure there are no clumps or streaks of color. The dye should blend smoothly into the wax.
-
Test the Color: If necessary, adjust the amount of dye until you reach the desired shade. Keep in mind that the color may appear darker once the wax cools and solidifies.
